What the electricity crisis also means

Just a few months ago, the direction of travel seemed clear. In order to counteract climate change in the long term, we should all switch from cars with combustion engines to e-mobility as quickly as possible. The aim is to minimize CO2 emissions. To this end, vehicles with excessively high carbon dioxide emissions are sanctioned with punitive taxes and the procurement of electric cars is subsidized through taxes. The range of electric cars rapidly expanded, battery capacities and ranges increased, and charging stations sprang up like mushrooms. Already today, every 7th new car sold in Switzerland is a pure BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle). So far so good.
Since the Ukraine crisis, however, we are now threatened by an electricity crisis next winter and the Federal Council is already calling for consistent electricity savings, which is currently unsettling Swiss car buyers. So, contrary to the idea of saving electricity, should we still invest in the future technology of BEVs or continue to use fossil fuels Refuel and produce CO2, but keep a clear conscience in terms of electricity consumption?
We think, do one and do not leave the other and deliver a great product for the conscious reduction of CO2 emissions with combustion engines, as well as for the reduction of electricity consumption with BEV. With our autoSense adapter, you are continuously informed about your driving style in real time via the autoSense app, because braking behavior, acceleration and cornering are determined by sensors and displayed accordingly on the app and compared with other autoSense customers. Knowing and improving your personal driveScore thus helps you to emit less CO2 with a combustion engine or to increase the range of your BEV.
