"Back on your own thanks to autoSense Refuel»
Entrepreneur and top athlete Stephan Fuhrer is enthusiastic about autoSense and the Fuel app. It makes it much easier for him, who has been in a wheelchair with paraplegia for 20 years, to drive his car independently. Refuel of his car significantly. We met him at AMAG Volketswil for an interview.
"I think autoSense is a great idea," says Stephan Fuhrer right at the start of our conversation. "The app helps me to be able to Refuel of my car independently again without outside help." Stephan Fuhrer, a paraplegic since a work accident, is in the process of buying a new car for his company, Fuhrer Gartenbau AG in Greifensee, which he successfully runs together with his brother. The dynamic athlete from the Zurich Oberland is an 8-time Swiss champion in 50 and 100 meter swimming, an active member of PlusSport and of Swiss Paralympic. He is currently training for the European Championships in Madeira in May and the Paralympics in Tokyo in August 2020.
But Stephan Fuhrer is also used to having to call on help. For example with the Refuel. Often the credit card slots and control panels on the petrol pumps are not accessible due to the height. Or the construction of the filling station prevents you from getting there at all due to a concrete barrier on the ground. This is why he regularly comes here to AMAG Volketswil, where someone is always on hand to assist him with the Refuel.
With autoSense he now gets Refuel at the Migrol stations already available. The app allows him to select the petrol pump and pay the amount due directly via smartphone and from the car. The Refuel himself becomes much more accessible and much easier to use with a wheelchair.
"My daughter also uses autoSense," says Stephan Fuhrer with a laugh. "The benefits are great. The advantages have obviously not only convinced me," he smiles. He says goodbye to us and drives straight on to his next appointment.
